Dear Friend Struggling to Like Yourself,
I don’t think you realize what a brilliant entity you are. You glow from the inside and breathe sparkling bits of yourself out in to the night sky.
You don’t appreciate all the fantastic things you accomplish…all of the little steps that make up a day. From getting out of bed in the morning until you sleepily crawl back in at night. You fill the day with little acts of kindness and bestow your warmth on people that cross your path. Your smile lights up a room and your laughter tickles the air. I bet you didn’t know that all of that resides in you. A sweet spirit lives in your skin.
You just need to discover these truths about yourself…bring them to the surface. I’d like you to write ten things you like about yourself. Do you have some special talents? Are you a good listener? What things do you find easy to do? Do you have a good sense of humor?
Now that you’ve written down 10 things you like about yourself, delve into some of those items and see if you discover other things you like. For example, you have a good sense of humor. Are you good at telling jokes? Do you like to make others laugh? Remember these good things…post them on your mirror. Celebrate yourself.
You have a healthy list of things that you like about yourself. Put that list somewhere you see if everyday to remind yourself about all the good things that make up you.
